Piranha Safety Isolation Switches

Piranha is the original & best welding control unit

Having been available for over 20 years the Piranha is the original and industry standard 400 amp DC isolating switch, monitoring and control station, allowing for safe isolation of the welding current and voltage. The Piranha switch is designed to operate between the power source and diver to provide a safe method of isolating current / voltage to the diver or operator and allow monitoring and control of operations.

Overview of the Piranha switch

The Piranha unit is fitted with amp and volt meters and DIN style quick release cable connectors (supplied) as well as a large, easy to use switching handle. The Piranha switch is designed to sit between the machine and the operator.

Monitor & Control

The Piranha switch allows for monitoring and control of all MMA/SMAW welding operations, and provides details to the efficiency and characteristics of the welding machine and welding circuit.

Wet or Dry Operation

Although initially designed for underwater welding and cutting, the Piranha switch is equally well suited for situations where close control of welding operations are required for example in any potentially hazardous environment.

Safety Standards

400 amp, 600 volt, DC isolation switch, which meets CE and UKCS directives and also the Underwriters Laboroitory (UL) and Canadian Standards Association approvals.

The Piranha Range

The Standard Piranha is available as a 305x406x190mm Waterproof utility case and is supplied with amp and volt meters. The Junior Piranha is a compact version at 234x330x152mm. Both Piranha switches are available without amp and volt meters for a cost effective switch more suitable to cutting operations.
